Unusual Uses of Hair Conditioner

Besides being used to condition hair, hair conditioner can be used in many other ways due to its chemical properties. If you happen to have half-full bottles of hair conditioners that you will not use anymore, don't throw them away. Consider the following ways of using them up:

Lubricant
Hair conditioners can be used to lubricate rusty hinges. If your door keeps making squeaky noises, apply some to the hinges and the noises will go away.

Laundry Detergent
If you have some delicate clothes that need to be hand washed, hair conditioners can help you. Soak your clothes in a bath of warm water and mix it with some conditioners. Let it sit for an hour. Rinse the clothes under water and gently squeeze out the water.

Shaving Lotion
Due to its moisturizing property, hair conditioner can be used to soften skin after shaving. Apply some conditioner on the shaved skin and rinse under water afterwards.

Make Your Houseplants Shine
Wipe the leaves using a damp cloth with some hair conditioner. This can remove dirt and at the same time conditioner is mild enough that it will damage your plants.
